Governor and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Sh. V. P Singh Badnore today flagged off Childhood Cancer Awareness Rally

Cancer begins in the cells, which are the building blocks of your body. … Childhood cancers can occur suddenly, without early symptoms, and have a high rate of cure. The most common children’s cancer is leukemia. Other cancers that affect children include brain tumors, lymphoma, and soft tissue sarcoma.

 

The Rally comprising of 19 cars with 59 participants including 14 childhood cancer survivors, 6 parents, 4 adult cancer survivors, and many other. According to Poonam Bagai, and Founder Chairman Cankids and herself a Cancer survivor, and said that 9 awareness programs at cancer centers Sangrur and Bhatinda, Colleges at Mansa, Faridkot and Guman, the Max Foundation funded school at Rail Majra, Ropar. Rally participants will also distribute specially created childhood cancer material in towns and villages as they drive through. They would be going all over Punjab to sensitize people and focus on childhood cancers, create awareness.
